Phosphorus-Free Membrane Solutions from VCS Garner Strong Interest at WQA Aquatech 2023

Maximizing permeate recovery while safeguarding reverse osmosis (RO) membranes remains a key priority for water system operators. At WQA Aquatech 2023 in Las Vegas, VCS showcased a technical response through its specialized membrane chemical line.

To mitigate the compounding challenges of inorganic scaling, organic colloid fouling, and bio-filming in long-term RO operations, VCS launched a phosphorus-free membrane antiscalant and broad-spectrum cleaner combination. The antiscalant is proven to inhibit challenging silicate and carbonate deposits at high water recovery rates, while the complementary cleaners effectively strip stubborn foulants under mild pH conditions to fully restore membrane flux—fully complying with strict North American zero-phosphorus discharge standards.

The VCS technical seminar arena saw strong attendance throughout the event, with water system integrators and EPC firms reviewing the performance data.
