Product Overview

VerdeCycle™-BA8507 is a non-oxidizing organic bromine biocide. It possesses highly active biocidal groups against bacteria, fungi, and algae, particularly exhibiting high activity against slime-forming bacteria. It acts rapidly, achieving a 4-log or greater reduction in bacterial count within a short contact time (4 minutes). It is an ideal microbicide for once-through cooling water, oilfield injection water, or recirculating cooling water systems requiring shock treatment. In the presence of ammonia and under alkaline cooling water conditions, its biocidal activity is significantly higher than that of chlorine, because bromamine has biocidal activity comparable to hypobromous acid, and hypobromous acid has a lower tendency to dissociate than hypochlorous acid. The required dosage is much lower than that of chlorine gas.

Applications:

VerdeCycle™-BA8507 is mainly suitable for once-through cooling water systems in power plants and chemical plants, oilfield injection water, and can also be used in recirculating cooling water systems.

Usage Instructions:

Add VerdeCycle™-BA8507 directly to the inlet of the storage basin. The typical dosage is 30–50 mg/L per application.
